The feature length documentary 'Istoria' is about Greek expatriate, Elias

Demourtzidis and his family whom are compelled by Elias’ suffering of

Alzheimer’s to journey back to Greece. Together the family delves into Elias past

experience of the Greek civil war and how that has ultimately affected him in his

latter years.

The documentary was completely privately financed by Nicolaos Demourtzidis

(Elias grandson) and by Proetic Productions as a non-for profit exercise.

The project was filmed on location in South Australia and in various villages

around mainland Greece.

The crew was made up of only three. David Ockenden (Director/ Producer/ 2nd

DOP), Brad Halstead (Director of Photography) and Nick Demourtzidis

(Executive Producer).
